New version of my logo

Perhaps the three people who actually check out my blog may have noticed, I have altered my logo a bit. For a while now I have been experimenting with patterns in Illustrator. In particular I am a huge fan of Celtic motifs. The beauty, and continuous dynamics of such patterns resonate with me on several different levels.

Why Celtic patterns?

First, the shallowest level: They are so incredibly cool! Depending on the colors and context, such patterns can appear antiquated or futuristic.

Second: The Celtic patterns portray a message of infinity. I am a firm believer in the idea that life will continue forever. things change, people change but we will all exist eternally, infinitely as beings that think, feel and create. Being creative for me isn't just for this life. Being creative is an integral part of who I am, and will continue on when this life is over.

About the logo

This brings us to the logo itself. I first developed this for an occupational prep class back in 2008. The idea was to create a sort of trade mark that expresses a little of who I am in a single image. the 'AT' Obviously stands for my first and last name. The angular lines sprouting from the center represent my ability to be organized and direct. They also allude to my fascination with Science fiction and technology.

The circles represent infinite creativity. Again, the idea that my creativity will continue forever.

The most recent iteration now includes circular patterns, which also represent infinity. The colors have no real significance. I fully plan on doing dramatic color changes to my blog and web site in the future.

Here presented are some of the variations I have used over the years. Hope you enjoy.
This is actually the very first concept. At the time I was getting into photography and thought this somewhat scifi-ish version would be appropriate. In the end I didn't like it too much
This variation just has my initials. Ued for a period of time on this blog when it was nothing but a portfolio.

Used this for a brief time on a very short-lived Scifi blog.

Wanted to make the logo pop a little more with this variation
